Disclaimer – Please Read Carefully to Avoid Any Confusion or Issues
By purchasing this product, you agree to the following important terms and conditions. Understanding this information will help prevent any misunderstandings and ensure a smooth experience.
Encryption Notice: This SD card does not allow you to listen to any encrypted services, including police or other encrypted networks. It is important to distinguish between encryption and digital transmission—these are separate technologies. Additionally, digital formats can vary (e.g., P25, DMR, NXDN, DPMR, etc.), so it is essential to understand the differences before proceeding with your purchase.
Product Usage: The information provided on this SD card is intended for enthusiast use only. It is not a substitute for a dedicated emergency services radio. Do not rely on any information received via your scanner as a primary source of emergency or situational updates—conditions can change rapidly. Always follow the guidance of authorized and trained emergency services personnel. Under no circumstances should the information provided be used for illegal activities or to interfere with emergency services.
If we suspect the card is being used for inappropriate or unlawful purposes, we reserve the right to cancel your order and issue a full refund. Additionally, we may contact relevant authorities if necessary.
Database Information: The database on the SD card is compiled from a variety of public sources, including websites, forums, private submissions, and ACMA databases. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, please be aware that the data can change without notice. Control channels, frequencies, and talk groups are subject to change, and these updates are beyond our control. Changes may occur without prior notice, especially with encryption technologies or shifts from analog to digital systems.
Legality of Listening: The information on this card is public domain and can be found through research, including Google searches, forums, and databases. Listening to radio traffic is legal in Australia, provided it does not involve mobile phone PSTN connections or any phone-based links, which are restricted by law. All other communications—whether from Emergency Services, private, or government networks—are legal to monitor.
Database Updates: We encourage users to download Sentinel Software to explore, verify, and update the database according to their needs. This software will help you apply updates and make changes to the database, particularly for your location or preferences. While the database is regularly reviewed and updated, it is not perfect, and network systems often change suddenly or without prior knowledge.
Free Future Updates: Once you have purchased an SD card or downloaded the file, future updates are free. You will receive these updates as downloadable links or via a coupon code, depending on the specific update requirements. Updates may include a completely revised database or individual favorite list updates. To apply these updates, you should be proficient in using Sentinel Software or comfortable with downloading and applying the data to an existing or formatted SD card. If you would like a completely new SD card, an additional cost will apply.
Support for Updates: Basic support for updates is available via email. However, please note that you may need to apply these updates independently. If you prefer, I can apply the updates for you for a nominal fee, covering shipping and handling of a pre-paid return envelope.
Existing Cards and Updates: If you have an existing card and wish to update it, please contact me via email for information on how to proceed, including the required steps and associated costs.
Pre-Purchase Questions: If you have any questions about the card, its contents, functionality, or updates, please feel free to contact me via email before purchasing.
Product Understanding: This product is designed for those who seek the convenience of a ready-to-use SD card. While the information contained in the database is available freely online through various searches, you are purchasing the configuration of the database—the time and effort it took to compile and input the data—not the information itself.
By purchasing any card from this website, you confirm that you have read and understood the terms outlined here, as well as the process required to install the updated SD card in your scanner.
Submitting Information: If you have any additional data or information that you would like to contribute for inclusion in the next update, please send it to [email protected]. We will verify the submission and, if appropriate, include it in the next update.
